Happy Easter from The Art of Writing!

Lisa Clifford

Happy Easter lovely writers,

I hope there is chocolate involved. Preferably good chocolate. Possibly too much chocolate. This is not the time for restraint.

While you are unwrapping foil and contemplating another hot cross bun, I wanted to pop in and say…we are one week away from our Major Dramatic Question Zoom class.

And before you panic at the phrase Major Dramatic Question…please don’t. Your MDQ sounds like some terribly serious disease. Or something that might require a notebook, a dictionary and possibly a small emotional breakdown.

It doesn’t. It is actually something you already feel when you read. You just haven’t been calling it that.

So what is this Zoom Craft Clinic class about?

It is the thing in a book that makes you stay up too late reading and reading. The thing that makes you say just one more page and then suddenly it is midnight and you are emotionally compromised. The thing that makes a book good.

We are going to explore how that works. And more importantly, how it works in your writing. In this class, we are not going to overcomplicate things.

We are going to:

  • take the pressure off
  • make it clear
  • and help you find the question that is already sitting inside your story

You do not need to arrive with the answer.

You just need to arrive.

This class is for you.

Until then, enjoy your Easter.

Eat all the chocolate.
