More Terms and Conditions below because we’ve had a pandemic and if that can happen, anything can happen.
Due to the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, The Art of Writing may be subject to unexpected and last-minute cancellation or restrictions on travel and convening imposed by the Florentine city and Italian national governments. Such restrictions may occur in the period leading up to the beginning of the program and even during the period the program convenes. Given pandemic circumstances, our policy will always be to follow the appropriate legal and public health guidelines and follow guidance for the best reasonable outcome of all parties. Our approach to handling cancellation under these circumstances will be:
- If the city or national government consider the pandemic conditions unsafe or impose restrictions or conditions that make the program impossible or impractical to host in a reasonable manner before the commencement of the program, a full refund of the tuition minus a €70 bank processing fee, will be offered. Alternately, participants may apply any pre-paid funds toward tuition of the next opportunity for the Art of Writing to convene safely, up to one year from the program date, and still receive a refund at the end of that year period should no alternate programs be offered.
- If the program is required to discontinue after it has started due to pandemic restrictions, a pro-rated amount of the remaining tuition, (measured in whole days) will be made to the participants.
- Under either 1 & 2 conditions above, all parties agree that no refunds or compensation shall be made for travel, meals or other expenses incurred by the participants on their own behalf. Furthermore, the whole or partial amount of the tuition shall constitute the total extent of any refund or liabilities between the Art of Writing and that no other compensation shall be due either party.
